Now you can get your home plan, customized to your needs, and have the construction plans prepared for one low flat rate! All plans will be prepared by, or under the supervision of an AIBD® recognized Professional Building Designer. AIBD® Professionals are the leaders in residential design and plan preparation! Plans are prepared to 2006 International Residential Code compliance, and to Plan Standards set for by the the American Institute of Building Design & National Council of Building Designer Certification. No matter where you are, we can help you!! We will make sure your plans will pass local code standards for your particular jurisdiction. From coast to coast, we can help you!
Quality, well prepared home plans are essential to keeping your project on time and on budget. A set of well thought out and properly prepared home plans will pay for themselves many times over during the construction of your new home. Properly designed staircases and cabinets that fit will alone pay for the cost of the plans in contractor change orders.
So…what will you get? Your plans will come complete with everything you need to get contractor bids, and obtain all necessary building permits, as well as a photo realistic rendering of what the home will look like once built, and a materials list in Microsoft® Excel format. * These pages will be included for reference, and should be reviewed by you with your MEP contractor for greater detail.The process consists of 3(three) stages to complete.
Step 1 – Data Collection. During the first step we exchange information. You get the contract that guarantees delivery of your plans at the flat rate, I get the initial payment ($500.00 or $700.00) and all of the information I need to customize your plan. Email me all of your sketches, notes, pictures, and the questionnaire I will send you, and I will get started!
Step 2 – Schematic Plans. After about a week or 10 days, you will receive via email a schematic plan set consisting of the floor plan(s), & exterior elevations for approval. You return to me with any changes/revisions you have, and the process repeats itself until you 100% approve the design & layout, at which time a progress payment ($500.00 or $700.00) is due, and the construction plans are prepared.
Step 3 – Construction Plans. After approximately 2 weeks, you will receive notice that the final plans are complete, and the final payment ($500.00 or $700.00) is due. Once the final payment is received, your plans will be emailed with-in One(1) business day. Copy your plans onto a USB drive and have as many copies made at your local print shop as you need. Martin Drafting & Design, Inc. offers printing & shipping services should you choose, and the cost for that service will be in the email should you choose to take advantage of it. At least compare our printing costs to your local area and go with the best one!
Easy as that! In about a months time, you will have everything you need to be your own general contractor, or hand the project over to a builder of your choice. You will have construction plans, a list of materials, and a color rendering conveying what you expect the home to look like for one flat rate!
